Veterinary Technicians
Diamond Animal Hospital is seeking Certified/Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our busy full service, emergency animal hospital located in Anchorage, Alaska. Our caseload varies from routine small animal wellness to critical emergent cases. Our surgery department includes not only routine surgery cases but soft tissue and orthopedic. We have recently added endoscopy to our practice.
The candidate we are seeking should be professional, willing to work as part of our extraordinary team and enjoy client education. LVT/Certified or at least 2 yr experience preferred. DAH has high standards of patient care and practice high quality medicine and hold our technicians to the same standard. Applicants must exhibit maturity, the ability to be a team player, be efficient, and have strong customer relations’ skills. Duties include strong communication skills, a commitment to client education, knowledge of proper restraint techniques, radiographs, vaccines, blood draws, the ability to do lab work (including UA sediment slides, fecals, and ear cytology's), Injections, bandaging, assisting in surgeries, and other tasks as assigned. Applicant MUST have flexibility in scheduling, as the practice is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and some holidays.
